On March 12th at 12.00 pm round table was held in honor of 150 anniversary of A.S. Popov .

The A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications made a session of radio communications with the cities of Russia related to the work and life of A.S. Popov.
The main radio station of Round table is R150A (RK1A).
Round table was conducted by chairman of regional public organization «Association of Amateur Radio of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region» N.M. Sashenin. The session took place in two radio ranges 40 meters and 20 meters. Director of the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications L.N. Bakayoutova pronounced welcome speech in English and Russian to Radio Amateurs from the cities of Russia and foreign countries: Portugal, Netherlands, Britain, France, Germany, Holland, Belorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, etc.
Conversations with memorable places associated with the life and work of Popov will take place from 12th of March to 7th of May 2009:
- Krasnoturinsk (R150DMP) - Homeland of A.S. Popov;
- Dolmatovo, Kurgan Region (R150PR), where Popov began his education in spiritual college;
- Ekaterinburg (R150P) - Alexander studied at the Theology School;
- Perm (R150RIR), where in 1877 Popov graduated with honors from mainstream classes Seminary;
- Kronstadt (R150ASP), where in 1883 after completing studies at the University A. Popov starts his navy career;
- St. Petersburg ETU (“LETI”)(R150B), in 1901, Popov was appointed professor of St. Petersburg Electro technical University, and in 1905 he was elected rector of that institution.
- Udomlya (R150IP), a town where his family estate was situated, it was a gift for invention of radio;
- St. Petersburg, The A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications.
After a period of radio conversations, the participants that have implemented a radio conversation with three of the places of memory, get a diploma in honor of 150 anniversary of A.S. Popov.
